Tips on How to Win Government Contracts.

Be on the lookout for the sources sought, and once you sight the sources sought, give reasonable feedback to the organization (customer) to familiarize yourself with the Contract Specialist. This is because when the Specialist is posting the solicitation you will be copied on the email.



Solicitation

The next thing that follows is the solicitation from the organization/agency. Immediately the solicitation shows up in the marketplace, ensure you are thorough in reading the documents provided by the contract specialist. This is to enable the contractor to provide answers/feedback to all requirements.


NAICS


The contractor must make sure that NAICS code provided matches the requirement, and their business registration is active in SAMs Records.  



Quotation


The price quote must be precise and tailored to the job requirements. This depends on the type of contracts (Supply, Services or Construction).  


Make sure you understand what the customer is looking for and provide quotation accordingly.
